There was a spirited discussion during CEO Jo Sherman’s presentation at the Philadelphia Women in eDiscovery (WiE) meeting yesterday. The topic “Is eDiscovery over-engineered?” seemed to resonate with many of the WiE members who contributed their views on the subject.
There were some interesting metaphors put forward involving NASA astronauts and tails wagging their dogs as well as the invention of some new acronyms like “TLCA” – Too Late Case Assessment. This was a reference to the practice of culling within a review platform. That’s not “Early” Case Assessment because it’s done too late! By that stage the processing costs have already been incurred.
We want to thank Drinker Biddle for hosting and much appreciation to Philadelphia WIE for the warm hospitality, a delicious lunch and for the glorious weather!
We look forward to visiting again.
