Prior to joining EDT, Mr. Thompson co-Founded Claritas Data Solutions, an innovative provider of e-Discovery services. Brett’s experience as both a customer, and provider of litigation support services, gave him a unique perspective of what the ideal litigation support services firm should be. That vision is what led to his co-founding Claritas Data Solutions.

Mr. Thompson began his career in the legal industry as a paralegal intern while in college and segued his experience into a full time position with a large Washington DC-based law firm.  After quickly accelerating to senior legal assistant he joined a prominent IP litigation firm where he spent the next 10 years managing data intensive complex litigation matters. The explosive growth of the e-Discovery industry piqued his interest and led him to shift focus and become a service provider. He utilized his experience as a consumer to better the service provided to law firm and corporate clients. Mr. Thompson spent the next five years in roles ranging from forensic collection and project management, to designing and implementing complete technology infrastructures.

Mr. Thompson attended Marymount University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Paralegal Certificate.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Charles and Brett aboard during this exciting period of growth for EDT,” said Jo Sherman, CEO. “Their wealth of experience and industry knowledge has already made them valuable additions to the team.
